Spotlight predates Longhorn by 3 years
So, for all of you who though that Apple's Spotlight technology was a quick response to what Microsoft announced would be a part of Longhorn (which is due when, again?), here's proof that it was actually the other way around.

And, note that the integrated meta-search capability is vastly superior to any kind of "bolt-on" search technology like Google is pushing. I'm still partial to LaunchBar myself, but expect this may change with the release of Tiger.
Yes, we all know that Microsoft can't develop anything on their own, and that they merely copy our ideas, and pass them off as theirs - see Microsoft's mutiple attempts to spread FUD, as well as indications that they have severely cut their R&D spending to see for yourself.
